STIMULATION AND MEASUREMENT IN MRI

MRI-compatible equipment for research

Plan stimulus presentation and measurements alongside MRI. Display, optics, cables and accessories must be considered as a complete setup.

BOLDscreen 32 UHDVISUAL STIMULATION

BOLDscreen

Cambridge Research Systems displays for visual stimulus presentation in fMRI. The model shown is BOLDscreen 32 UHD. We help you choose the resolution, viewing geometry and mounting suited to your installation.

Combine MRI with EEG or fNIRS

Multimodal MRI acquisition requires dedicated configurations. The pages for EEG Magstim EGI and fNIRS NIRxBorealis help prepare discussions about equipment and interfaces. A brand name alone does not establish MRI compatibility of a standard system.

Electromagnetic compatibility, mounting and data quality must be assessed under conditions defined by the manufacturers and the MRI team.

Information needed for a proposal

Detail to specifyWhy it matters
MRI and coilScanner model, magnetic field, bore diameter and head coil.
Visual presentationScreen position, optical path, mirror, distance and required field of view.
StimuliResolution, colours, timing, presentation software and audio needs.
IntegrationCable routing, available passages, controls and volume-start markers.
PopulationParticipant comfort, positioning and communication requirements.

Verify the installed configuration

Before a study, check stimulus visibility and synchronisation, then image and signal quality. Installation and use must follow equipment documentation and site procedures.

We help define equipment, accessories and support needs. The final choice should incorporate MRI team input, especially when modifying an existing installation.
